Grades 6-7 staged the Chisi version of Oz in which Dorothy bemoaned the fate that kept her in Zimbabwe, sighed about how she wanted to see a wider world (one without bond notes, perhaps?) and was whisked off to Oz. There she and her dogs were pursued by several witches, made friends with a very shiny tin man, scratchy scarecrow and loud lion, evaded jitterbugs, met munchkins and the Great Oz and decided that there was, after all, no place like home.
